Chapter 267 – I Lived a Good Life

– What?.

– You… are you saying that Satan was the weakest?.

Si Hong and Yong Joo, disbelieving what they heard, stared at Rakiel.

The Guardians knew better than anyone how powerful Satan was. Even the best Players died at his hands. Yes, what can I say, he fought with Lucifer and won. He even inflicted such severe wounds on Raphael that he still has not recovered. He has already shown his strength a bunch of times and proved that he is not weak at all.

However…

– Hey, stop! You are not mistaken?! – shouted Young Joo, still not believing in what was happening.

How could Satan die just like that and be the weakest of the minions demon from prophecy? It was simply impossible to believe it.

– We still don’t know who he really is! He’s wearing a mask too! Yong Joo shouted excitedly.

Si Hoon pressed his lips together tightly. If you think so, then they really saw the real face of Satan for the first time. There was nothing special about him. But.

– This is really Satan.

The demon doesn’t lie.

Si Hoon once already felt the influence of Satan on himself, and the energy that he felt then and now completely coincides.

Everyone fell silent.

Rakiel folded his hands lazily and examined the “guests.”

– Do you believe my words now?

– Where… where is Kang Woo?

Si Hoon kicked Satan’s head like it is a stone on the road. Now he doesn’t care about him or about these Four Heavenly Kings. He still didn’t hope that the demon from the prophecy could actually be in this place. Despite the fact that a strong enemy appeared in front of them, he did not forget why they came here.

– Kang Woo? Are you talking about him? Rakiel laughed and snapped his fingers.

The darkness parted like a curtain, and they saw the exhausted Kang Woo.

– A-a-a…

– Kang Woo!

The guy looked terrible. Apparently, all this time he was tortured, because even more wounds appeared on his body.

– Kang Woo! – Han Seol, forgetting about everything, rushed towards the guy.

Si Hoon stopped her with his hand on his shoulder.

– Let me go!

– Calm down.

– Let me go, quickly! Kang Woo… Kang Woo! – the girl screamed, and tears began to flow down her cheeks.

Si Hong, biting his lip, pulled her back. In fact, he also wanted to rush to han seol, but it’s not that simple right now.

“Be patient.”

Hatred was in his eyes. If he doesn’t hold back and runs, then the outcome is not difficult to predict.

They will simply lose Kang Woo.

– Si Hong…

– Kang Woo, – the guy closed his eyes.

He did not want to see his exhausted brother.

“Still,” he took a breath and opened his eyes.

It’s hard to say “Fortunately,” there was no trace of Kang Woo on his body. Also, there was no sense of Magi, capable of turning a person into a monster.

“For now.”

He can still be saved.

It’s not as bad as the case with Rudbich. Si Hoon tightened his grip on the Holy Sword and looked at the smug Rakiel.

He hesitated.

“Will I be able to beat him?”

The answer was not known, but if he considers Satan a weak demon, then the chances of success with Si Hoon are not great.

– What? I am surprised. Thought you’d lose your common sense and rush at me.

The guy was silent.

– Or is he still not so important to you? The demon asked mockingly.

Si Hoon ignored him. He took a breath and raised his sword.

“Even if I don’t have a chance, I must try.”

He remembered the days he spent with Kang Woo. He became a salvation for him, and now the moment has come to respond kindly to kindness.

“If he saw me now… eh, he would have grabbed me by the collar and scolded me.”

Si Hoon chuckled and said:

– We are acting according to plan.

Silence fell, and Players with worried they raised their weapons. The mission was to rescue Kang Woo. They did not expect to fight Rakiel and win.

Si Hoon crouched down.

[Arrow Shadow]

His body shot out like an arrow from a bow, and he confidently headed towards Rakiel.

***

Excellent, Kang Woo thought, repelling the attack of a guy flying at him, and laughed.

He glanced over at the rest of the Players.

“It’s a success.”

It seems that the angels decided not to take part in the rescue operation, but it didn’t matter. A large number of Players took part in the rescue, and the angels will have no choice but to believe Kang Woo.

Thus, he will prove the existence of the demon from the prophecy, will have a new trump card in the sleeve in the form of Rakiel and will restore the honest name of the Hero of the Light Oh Kang Woo. This is simply the best alignment you can think of.

“All that remains is to finish with all this. Why the hell?”

He calmly drank beer and enjoyed the fight between Si Hoon and Kalgia, when suddenly, due to his little absurdity

“And yet, in the end, everything should end well.”

It’s like saturated soil after a heavy rain.

Although he was in danger, if you focus on the bottom line, Kang Woo was very pleased.

“One way or another…”

He deflected Si Hoon’s attack and chuckled.

“He became a real monster.”

Kang Woo looked at his body, where wounds began to appear, and looked at Si Hoon in bewilderment. Considering the difficulty level of the cave, he did a great job.

Among the Guardians, of course, Kang Woo was the strongest, but Si Hoon was right behind him. Although there were more participants than he had planned, he expected that they would make their way to him for three days, but this happened in eight hours. And it proved that Si Hoon had changed a lot.

“Hmm…” Kang Woo was staring at the guy in confusion.

Now he was strong even as the main character. Kang Woo was confident that the guy was now capable of fighting the Great One. No, not even with Alcyone or Belphegor.

How?

It has only been three years since Si Hoon became a Player. And in three years he surpassed the level of the Great Ones. It took Kang Woo ten thousand years. But the fact remained that Si Hoon was indeed talented and was a follower of Musin Jung Tae Hwan. It definitely became a good help in his development.

The metal rattled.

White light rising from the sword illuminated the room.

– Fu-ooo-ooh… – Si Hoon exhaled heavily.

Every time he swung his sword, he used maximum energy, which made it seem that it is about to fall apart.

– We got here with such difficulty. Don’t expect to do everything alone. “With these words, Yong Joo entered the battle.

Jung Moo Jin followed her as well. Jang Hyun Jae, Park Hwa Young, and Ku Hyun Mo. All the strongest Players rushed to attack Rakiel, surrounding him from all sides. Powerful energy shook the cave.

There was a loud crash.

Despite the fact that the demon was attacked by such strong Players, he did not receive anything stronger than scratches. But the start was made.

– That’s it! ..

Seeing Rakiel defending more than attacking under the onslaught of strong Players, hope flashed in the eyes of the Players.

– Let go of Kang Woo!

Si Hoon kicked off the ground, rose into the air and stretched out his arms. Light began to emanate from the sword again. It seemed like this light could cut anything.

– Ha ha ha! Good Excellent! – Rakiel laughed crazy. “And yet…

His lips quivered at the corners. The demon laughed and spread his arms wide. His black wings spread behind his back.

– This is not enough.

He shivered. Ten black wings flapped loudly. A powerful, one might say, crushing Magi began to emanate from Rakiel.

– Dangerous! – Si Hoon felt something was wrong and shouted.

Rakiel’s black wings once again opened and discharges of black electricity flew in all directions… There were dozens, hundreds of them, and they started hitting the players” legs.

Those who were struck by lightning let go of their swords and trembled and foam poured out of their mouths.

It was the effect of just one attack, yet it paralyzed almost half of the Players.

– No matter how you twitch, you will remain worthless people, – Rakiel clicked his tongue.

– Shut up! – said Si Hoon while shivering.

He got up, but due to an electric shock he could not cope with his body.

It’s time to end, Rakiel thought and smiled nastily.

– And yet he deserves to show interest in him.

– Is he?.

– Haven’t you seen?

Si Hong remembered black goo, peering into which there was no end in sight.

The demon hit the trembling guy with force.

– A-ah-ah!

– But until the time of prophecy has come.

– What?.

– You will understand everything, – he smiled ugly.

A special meaning.

Due to the fact that he mentioned the prophecy, the faces of all the surrounding Players turned to stone.

“Although I myself do not know…”

It just happened to be a word.

“Well, a few meaningful phrases will suffice.”

Wasn’t that his role?

He flapped his black wings again and spread his arms wide.

– Fear, people! Time to despair!

“Need an ending.”

– The end will come soon!

“Yes, perfect!”

The moment he finished his speech, there was an explosion of Light.

“What else is this?”

Kang Woo even thought that Si Hoon got another achievement and turned around. But this light did not come from Si Hoon lying on the floor.

– Kang Woo… Kang Woo! ..

“Favorite?” He turned his gaze to see Han Sol staring at him with hatred.

White Light emanating from her illuminated the entire cave. Twelve white wings appeared behind her.

“What’s this?.” – Kang Woo’s eyes widened.

Before that, the wings were just a faded image on her back, but they contained such a force that took her breath away.

And it was not just Light.

“This is…” Si Hoon got to his feet.

All of his wounds received from Rakiel immediately healed, just like when he drank Kang Woo’s blood. He looked surprised the girl.

But the confusion did not last long and he, biting his lip, raised the Holy Sword.

– Agrh!

Kang Woo was shaking with pain… Because of such a sudden turn, he could not recover. At this time, behind him, Si Hoon rose into the air and lifted swords from the ground after him. He struck.

– Fuck! Rakiel leaned forward.

He grabbed his neck and turned around.

“Infection, it hurts!”

The guy even swore. Moreover, his displeased exclamation was no longer a game. If he hadn’t used the Power of a Thousand, his skull would have simply shattered, the guy’s blow was so strong.

– Now! – shouted Si Hoon and Yong Joo nodded resolutely.

She took out a white stone. And not only she, the players who fell to the ground repeated the same. It was the stone that opened the Gate leading to the Shrine of the Guardians. Dozens of white stones lit up and illuminated everything around.

– Faster!

– Got it!- Yeon Joo threw out the red chains and pulled Kang Woo with them.

– Let’s go! – Si Hoon shouted quickly.

The players, who healed their wounds thanks to Han Sol, immediately went without a doubt to the Gate leading to the Sanctuary… Si Hoon hugged Han Sol and pulled her along, casting a final glance at Rakiel, who was suffering from headaches.

– I don’t know what during the “time of prophecy” and why this black goo is interested in me…

The demon was silent.

– But I promise – his eyes filled with hatred – I will certainly rip out your chicken wings one by one.

After these words, Si Hoon entered the Gate.

Silence reigned on the battlefield.

– And he learns to swear.

Kang Woo frowned as he tried to heal his wounds. Healing them was not easy.

“Why?”

It seemed to him that what had happened was a dream. His thoughts got confused.

– Hmm, first of all… – Kang Woo got up. – Although everything did not go according to plan, it ended normally.

He was going to throw him a couple more ambiguous phrases, but it all ended much faster than he planned. However, he did not deviate much from the plan. Even though they were able to save Kang Woo not because of Si Hoon’s power, but because of the sudden burst of Han Seol’s Light.

– Uh-uh-uh… – he looked around the destroyed cave.

Kang Woo closed his eyes and focused on the consciousness of his copy.

“Now it’s time to complete the picture.”

***

– Ah-ah…

– Kang Woo! Come to your senses, Kang Woo!

– Hey, are you okay? Doctor, call a doctor! Faster shit!

There is a noise all around. Kang Woo first opened one eye and raised himself.

– Agh! – excruciating pain spread throughout the body.

– Don’t move and just lie there! Yeon Joo extended her hand and pushed him back.

Kang Woo smiled slightly.

– I think I’m alive…

– Yes, you’re alive, you moron! So shut up!

The guy slowly stretched out his shaking hand and grabbed the hand of Si Hoon.

– Kang Woo…

The guy cried, looking at his brother’s wounded body.

– Thank you… you moron.

– Kang Woo, don’t talk, just lie down!

– He lost so much blood!

– Where the fuck is the doctor?!

– Oh-oh-oh… – Kang Woo smiled slightly and looked up at the sky. – I lived a good life…

– Hey, hey, don’t turn off! Kang Woo! Bastard, come to your senses!

  1. There should have a more dramatic ending, something like Rakiel tainting Kang Woo’s divine power with magi or something.
This ended so easily that the angels may suspect something is wrong.

    1. Well his lightning attack incapacitated half of the rescue squad with just one hit. Thanks to the unexpected power from han seol they managed to run away easily. I dont think they think Rakiel is weak considering he’s facing 3000 players alone.
